The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is hiring for posts in the Municipal Chief Auditor’s Department. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online at ahmedabadcity.gov.in until 15 October 2025 (11:59 pm). The notification includes details about vacancies, eligibility, pay scale, age limit, reservation, and application guidelines.

 

Vacancies and Posts

The recruitment is for two categories of posts:

1. Senior Assistant Auditor (Advt. No. 06/2025-26)

  • Total Vacancies: 02 (Unreserved)
  • Pay Scale: Level 8 (₹44,900–₹1,42,400) with allowances as per rules.
  • Eligibility: Graduation in Commerce with Accounting and Auditing as core subjects, plus minimum 10 years’ post-degree experience in accounts or audit work.
  • Age Limit: 18–43 years as of the last date (relaxable as per rules).

2. Assistant Auditor (Advt. No. 07/2025-26)

  • Total Vacancies: 06 (05 Unreserved, 01 SEBC – Socially & Educationally Backward Class, PwD applicable).
  • Pay Scale: Fixed ₹49,600 per month for the first three years. On successful completion, candidates will be placed in Level 7 (₹39,900–₹1,26,600) with applicable allowances.
  • Eligibility: Same as Senior Assistant Auditor – Commerce graduate with Accounting and Auditing, and at least 10 years of post-degree experience in accounts or audit.
  • Age Limit: 18–43 years (with relaxations).

Application Process : AMC Recruitment 2025

  • Applications must be submitted online only through the AMC recruitment portal.
  • Each candidate can apply for one post only. Multiple applications for the same post will be invalid.
  • Candidates must upload a passport-size photograph, signature, and required certificates in the prescribed format (JPEG/PNG for photo/signature, single PDF for experience certificates).
  • The details filled in the application form will be treated as final. Any mismatch with original documents during verification will lead to cancellation.
  • After final submission, an application number will be generated, which will also be sent via SMS to the registered mobile number. This must be preserved for downloading the receipt and further communication.

Application Fees : AMC RECRUITMENT 2025

  • General / Unreserved candidates: ₹500
  • Reserved categories (SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, etc.): ₹250
  • PwD candidates: Exempted (no fees)

Payment must be made online via debit/credit card or net banking. If payment fails, the candidate should retry after 3 hours.

Reservation and Relaxations : AMC RECRUITMENT 2025

  • Reservation is applicable as per Government of Gujarat rules.
  • Reserved category candidates must hold valid caste or EWS certificates issued by a competent authority in Gujarat. Certificates from other states will not be accepted.
  • Relaxations in upper age limit:
  • Reserved categories: +5 years
  • Women candidates: +5 years
  • PwD candidates: +10 years
  • The maximum permissible age under any circumstances (with relaxation) shall not exceed 45 years, except for existing AMC employees.

 

Important Instructions : AMC RECRUITMENT 2025

1. Only post-qualification experience will be considered valid. Candidates must provide authentic service certificates mentioning job nature, duration, and authorization details.

2. Appointment will be subject to medical fitness, verification of documents, and performance evaluation.

3. AMC reserves the right to alter, postpone, or cancel the recruitment process without providing reasons.

4. No correspondence regarding selection will be entertained. Candidates must regularly check the AMC website for updates.

5. Selection will be based on written examination and/or interview. The Municipal Commissioner’s decision regarding shortlisting and selection will be final.

6. Selected candidates will be appointed initially on probation or fixed pay as per AMC and Government rules.

Provisions for PwD Candidates : AMC RECRUITMENT 2025

  • PwD candidates with 40% or higher disability will be eligible for benefits.
  • Disabilities such as blindness, low vision, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, autism, and multiple disabilities are covered as per government guidelines.
  • Such candidates will receive age relaxation and category-based reservation.
